did you open or edit that file for some reason?

try uploading all the files again. maybe one or more got corrupted or missed during your upload.
only use a real ftp program, not your host file manager.
unzip the phpbb file on your computer before you upload the files. do NOT unzip on the server.

Should I use the Auto Script Installer of my host instead of manually uploading it?

No.

What are you using to upload the files with?

In both cases it looks like files have not been uploaded or are incomplete uploads.

you should only use a real ftp program like filezilla. you should upload all files/folders at once. drag and drop , just like in windows etc.

I did use Filezilla and dropped all the files on the website, I did this

1. Download PhpBB 3.1x and then Unzip
2. Make a website with 000webhost
3. Upload PhpBB to the public folder
4. Got errors

I tried other websites as well that has PHP 4 and Php 5 but still get errors

The messages look like files are not being completely uploaded.

Yep and then for the files you get errors on, just re-upload those or the folders they're in.

Before I begin the upload should my web host have PHP 5.3 or any version?
