Versions? Extensions with min 3.4 up to 4.2 ??

Wondering about what it means when an extension says its compatible from v. 3.4 and up to 4.2 ??

When I check my version on my forum it says I got 3.1.3 and there are no new updates?

So how do I get these newer versions? I dont see them anywhere here in the downloads. Also will all my current extensions stop working with newer update?

Almost every plugin I have been checking today.

One example:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bridgedd/

Says:
Requires: 3.6 or higher
Compatible up to: 4.2.1

So how can one use this or get any vesion of wordpress up to v 4-2-1 ??

Sorry my mistake, seems I been browsing the wordpress plugins instead of the phpbb extensions without noticing it S

Perhaps it means WordPress versions. To the best of my knowledge there are no phpBB extensions that have version numbers anything like that - the highest that you might find is 3.1.4 (due to the requirement of events being added to the next core release)
