Support Request Template
What version of phpBB are you using? phpBB 3.1.5
What is your board's URL? https://wildtangentfansite.com/Forum3.1x/index.php
Who do you host your board with? iPower
How did you install your board? I used the download package from phpBB.com
What is the most recent action performed on your board? Update from a previous version of phpBB3
Is registration required to reproduce this issue? No
Do you have any MODs installed? No
Do you have any extensions installed? Yes
What version of phpBB3 did you update from? phpBB 3.1.4
What extensions do you have installed? Advanced BBCode Box
What styles do you currently have installed? prosilver
What language(s) is your board currently using? English
Which database type/version are you using? MySQL 5
What is your level of experience? Comfortable with PHP and phpBB
What actions did you take (updating your board; installing a MOD, style or extension; etc.) prior to this problem becoming noticeable? N/A, this is the default current forum software.
Please describe your problem. I would like to comment out certain social media and website link fields. While I think that should rightly be a design change discussion, that is not an area open in Area51 yet, so I have to ask here. I would much prefer to be able to enable or disable display of certain profile fields from the ACP. Until that happens, I just need to know where to find the fields so I can comment them out.

You mean like clicking the "Deactivate" link on the Custom Profile Fields page?

Are you talking about the options under "Load settings" on the "Board features" page?

[Added]
OK, "Display custom profile fields in user profiles:" comes close. It will not allow the information to display. What I want to be able to do is disable anyone from even entering the information.

Until I can disable entering the information I will disable displaying it at least.

Thanks for the ACP pointer! :)

Does anyone know where the code is stored so I can "remove" it?

Perfect! Thank you. Obviously someone a lot smarter than I thought of this way before I even thought about it.

Nicely done. :)
