Have you checked your server logs?

I have none, my provider doesn't provide any.

the server software does create error logs, if your host doesn't allow you to veiw them or at the very least tell you what is in them, then you really need a new host.

Can't we get through this without the server logs?
Basically, it occurred since I updated from 3.1.6 to 3.1.7-PL1 and only occurs for link based on app.php.

the error is a server error. therefore, you can find out what the error is by viewing the server error logs.

ask your host what the last several errors in the error log are.

I've got news!
Unfortunately, provider cannot give me server logs (I'm on a free hosting), however I got told that the file vendor/symfony/http-foundation/Symfony/Component/HttpFoundation/Response.php includes the code causing the issue.
Did something change in this file from 3.1.6 to 3.1.7-PL1?

Well that is part of an error message. Take a look at this post viewtopic.php?f=466&t=2295201 to see what a complete error message looks like.

There may be some unreachable files and a server restriction on where they can be.

I didn't need to know how a server error log is made, I needed to know why a file from phpBB caused error into the server. Thanks for nothing.

Back to the issue, I was finally clearly told that the call header($name.': '.$value, false) in sendHeaders() function into file vendor/symfony/http-foundation/Symfony/Component/HttpFoundation/Response.php caused the issue because it created a new header Content-Type and this is forbidden by HTTP specification; the fix consisted into switching the boolean to true.

Now I'd like to know from developers, since I can't manage to find the vendor folder in the repository, if this error has been fixed (since it was introduced by 3.1.7-PL1.

Then I would suggest that if you feel that this is incorrect that you create a bug report so that the developers can look into the issue.

Well, I can't know if this has been fixed already since vendor folder is not in repository and 3.1.8 is about to get released.

I haven't see any fix related to that.
Just create it and you will get a response, if duplicated you will know.
If not "fixed" in 3.1.8 it will be in the next releases, in case it is really a bug.

there were plenty of bugs in the 3.1.7 releases but I would assume that if this was one of them, that it would be showing up with more users than just the one at the one host.

since it is a free host and they are not known for quality servers or support, I would be leaning more in the direction of it being something at the host.

It can't be: apparently, that function does something that cannot be done.
