Transfering permissions

OK, this is the case

UserA has permissions to see certain hidden forum. UserB doesn't have permissions to see that forum and he has that permission set to NEVER. But UseB has permission to transfer user's permissions from other users. The case is that when UserB transfers permissions from UserA, UserB can see that hidden forum even thou he has set NEVER to that.
Am I doing something wrong? I don't want UserB to see a forum which he has set NEVER to see it, but still be able to transfer user's permissions.

I am sorry for my English :D
That mean you can browse the forum with somebody's permissions. (Can use others permissions)

the only person that can do that is an admin.

also, if you are testing other's permissions as admin, you still retain your permissions as well.

I am not even sure what benefit there is to the feature of being able to test with other's permissions.

so, please explain exactly what you are trying to do. why are you testing with other's permissions?

No, everybody can do that if he has that permission. He can be Admin or even Guest. If he has that permission he can do that.

The benefit is that you will be sure that everybody has exact permissions you want.
But that is not the case.

FTR after clicking Test out user's permissions, you see this message
Successfully transferred permissions from xxxxxx, you are now able to browse the board with this user’s permissions.
Please note that admin permissions were not transferred. You are able to revert to your permission set at any time.

can't find any permissions that apply to testing user permissions except for admin permissions.

and, if, as admin you do it, you will still retain your admin permissions. that is why it is usually useless to do it. you can't really test very much if you still have your admin permissions at the same time.

As I said anybody can have some of admin permissions and this doesn't make that user Admin. Even Guests can have some of admin permissions if you want to do that as an owner, for instance to check others permissions.
For you it is useless and that is OK, for me it is very useful.

But it is not my case. If you can help me on my case I will really appreciate that, but if you can not, please don't spam on my topic.

Yes it does - admittedly not a full Admin but once you give a user even one Admin permission they become an admin and will have access to some things that you may not want them to have access to.

And giving the "Guest" user Admin permissions is a recipe for disaster.

Yes I know. But giving one of admin permissions doesn't mean that the user has every single users or mods permissions.
If you red my first post you will see what I mean.
So does this mean that I can not do what I asked in the first post?
I don't want UserB to see a forum which he has set NEVER to see it, but still be able to transfer user's permissions.

If you allow a user the "Test Permissions" permission, then they can test any user's User, Forum, or Moderator permissions. No, you cannot pick and choose which ones they get.

Thank you. I am kind of disappointed there is permissions I can not control :)

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish. How can a you test someone's permissions if you cannot use them? That is the whole point of that feature.

Yes I understand the point, and I understand I can not do what I want.
I want one of the admins to have permission to check users permissions, but not to have access to one of the admins forums, which is hidden for him. And if that admin checks other admins permissions he can see and read that hidden forum, what I don't want.

I think if you don't trust your admins than you don't make them admin.
