the thing that caused you the most trouble was having that "create database" string in your backup file.

in the future, make sure that is not there in any backups you make.

when you make the backup from phpmyadmin do NOT check the box for that and it will not be in the backup file to begin with.

then, database import will just work without all the errors.

also, anytime you are doing an update, do not attempt to access the board until after you have run the install/database_update.php file and you will not get any of those missing table errors etc.

the "how to" is here in the documentation and the knowledge base etc.

follow the instructions exactly and in order an you will have no problems.
