If you are talking about the ext not being visible in the ACP:
CDB wrote:Installation:
  1. Download and unzip the current release.
  2. Upload the extracted package in to the ext directory of your phpBB board.
  3. Navigate in the ACP to Customise -> Manage extensions.
  4. Look for Board Announcements under the Disabled Extensions list, and click its Enable link.
  5. Set up and configure by navigating in the ACP to Extensions -> Board Announcements.

If it's something else you "cannot see", then please be a little more specific.

How to Install:

Download and unzip the current release.
Copy the unzipped folder to the ext directory in the root of your forum. Note, if a phpbb directory already exists in your ext directory, do not overwrite it; just copy the boardannouncements folder to ext/phpbb/boardannouncements.

use your ftp, look for the folder.

it should be here:
phpBB3/ext/phpbb/boardannouncements/

right now, I am getting an error that says that the folder named phpbb is not there.
however, it does look like it is here:
phpBB3/ext/boardannouncements/

all the instructions say to put it in the folder named phpbb

Then you will need to add one and then move the boardannouncements folder into it.

Extensions are uploaded in the forum of

/ext/authorsfoldername/extensionname

That extension is written by the phpBB team so the authorname folder is /phpbb/

It's not showing because the folder structure is not correct.

you would have to edit the css in the style files that come with the extension. the same way you have been doing this for the rest of your site.
however, the extensions do not use the files from standard phpbb, they are self contained. therefore, you have to actually edit the files in the relevant style folder of the extension.

in this case, it would be here:
ext/phpbb/boardannouncements/styles/all/theme/boardannouncements.css

you can still use the inspect element system to find exactly which line a given font is controlled by in that css file.

I did use inspect element to find the default font. and made it a bit bigger. So I will go into the the file you recommended.to customise it.

just FYI, when you are using the inspect element and you make changes there, it is only temporary. just so you can see what it does. once you decide what you want , you have to go to the actual file.

I just happened to think that you might not realize that and it could be one of the reasons you have not been seeing changes you are making.
