What does "does not work" mean? Error message? White screen? Smoke from the monitor? What??

Does it work with prosilver? Did you purge the cache? What instructions are you following?

Never got to try it with prosilver because it said i had the default as Se_square_left
The point was does it work as expected using the default prosilver? If it does it may be an issue with the style your using.

The instructions you’re following are for 3.0. I think this extension might do what you want Simple Header Banner?

I’m assuming these errors were post fiddling so either undo anything you edited or replace the files you edited with fresh copies from the download.

Replacing two or three files isn’t going to touch your database.

phpBB is the software available from here. php is the language it is written in. The version of that language is selectable on your hosting site. (you may have a choice, or your hosts may inpost the choice for you)
