CAN'T CONNECT TO ADMIN VIA SSL

the problem:

using old (3.0.12) phpbb version and want to upgrade. I turn on ssl on phpbb (secure cookies) and I entered 465 port....

And now when I try to connect I to admin panel I get this error: ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

Using Chrome via MAC. Tryed to delete S form http and change port to 80 on web adress, but geting this error.

Is there any posibiltie via phpadmin or ftp to remove ssl from web adress ?????

If you are going to upgrade don't bother with using ssl until you have a successful upgrade board working etc.

once you do, then you have to have a valid SSL certificate from somewhere and have it installed on your server.

then, you edit your htaccess so that non ssl links are redirected and you turn on cookie secure and that is about it.
oh, start using https and never use http for accessing your site.
