Prosilver SE - resize header background (I have searched...)

Hi folks. Im trying to re-size the grey background of the header to match the banner logo. I have found:

Common:
h1 {
/* Forum name */
font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
margin-right: 200px;
margin-top: 15px;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 2em;
and by changing the margin top and font size, I can reduce the bottom by a fair amount but its not enough, accurate and feels like a bit of a bodge.

Please help. Thank you!

Ah, cracked it. Before I was told to hide the logo and site name but doing that it retains the 'cells' for them - you have to remove them. Done.

Hey there!

You could have used display: none; in the h1 tag to remove the header, which also removes the element from the document flow and adjusts the size accordingly.

Would you be happy to share a link to your board? It sounds like there might be a neater way to achieve what you're trying to do :)

In overall_header.html replace

Code: Select all

{SITE_LOGO_IMG}
with

Code: Select all

<img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/headerxmas.jpg" />
then add this to css

Code: Select all

#logo img {
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 100%;
    width: 100%;
}
#logo { padding: 0; }
