Forum color change in Prosilver se?

Post by pat538 » Sun Mar 13, 2016 4:25 pm

Using prosilver Se. did the colorize to a purple (uploaded it). but, the forum only is still in blue.
the rest is Ok. I looked at every color in the colour.css and can't find anywhere to change that.
http://sybilsden.com/bbt/

then I thought, well I will try the prosilver, changed all the colors, no change at all in that one.

thought I was so close to have having the colors match in prosilver se, I will stick to that one.

I have spent 2 days trying to figure this out..
can someone please guide me in the right direction?

Thank You in Advance,
Pat

ok, currently you are showing prosilver as the style for guests.

how did you "colorize it.

have you set prosilver_se to be the default style and then either set override to yes or at least choose prosilver_se as your style from your user control panel.

now that I am even more confused than I was before.
I colorized prosilver se:
https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... l_edition/

Lumpy, yes, it is set to default. prosilver se. (I just checked it again)
however, I was switching the themes back and forth, if you clear your browser from the first try, see if that changed it. IDK

pondlife, I checked the images in prosilver se, and it is purple.

if it is showing prosilver, then I have no idea what is going on.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

I appreciate the response...
Pat

sorry, still seeing prosilver as a guest.

did you click in the yes box for the override user?

did you purge your cache?

I do see the purple images in the prosilver_se/theme/images folder

did you click in the yes box for the override user?
where is that?

did you purge your cache?
yes, several times, will do it again.
I am seeing the prosilver 2 on my end.

pondlife,
that is not at all how it looks on my end..

thank you both again, I feel like I am so close to getting the colors.
have no idea why the colorize didn't change the post forum..

board settings right there where you set a style as default.

set default style to prosilver_se

click the yes radio button for override
then click submit.

then purge the cache again just for grins.

the purple images are there for the prosilver_se style. they are not there for the prosilver style.
therefore, if you can just get it to show the prosilver_se style you will be good.

I guess you used colorizeit service to change color scheme? Looks like you mixed files from original style and colorized version of style and prosilver se got mixed up somewhere too. Don't mix files from different styles, unless you know exactly which files should be changed.

Upload colorized version in separate directory and install it. To avoid confusion I suggest to use option to rename style before submitting form on colorizeit.

yes, I did use the colorize. I did not mix any files that I remember.
didn't rename. I use different themes in the past with the same name on ver3.0.
but, if I have to, I will re-do it the colorize and follow your instructions....

really appreciate your answer..

I now see the prosilver_se. I also see your purple images for the backgrounds. however, they are not very purple at all. the gradient is not very good.

however, that is your taste.

hmm, I know all monitors look different. didn't really want too much purple. more on the grey side, but still purple.

my biggest issue is the where you post at. it is still blue. that is where I am having a hard time.
I am going to re-do the colorize and see if I can get it to look better.

thank you yet again for your help..
