css/java path

Post by jacmaan » Thu May 19, 2016 2:43 pm

hi,
I am trying to add my custom header to my forum site...The custom header has its own css files, fonts folder and javascript file. I added the html code to the overall_header and in the header tag, I linked the css, javascript and font folder. But it is not recognizing it. Please how do I fix this?

Thank you

After adding those files did you purge the cache?

yes i purged the cache...

if i add the css codes directly into say common.css it works but there is a lot to add thats y i want to leave in its folder but the path seem to be wrong. Don't know why because when I tested it on the website...not in the forum folder...it worked

Place your CSS files in the styles/yourstyle/theme folder from your style.

Then, edit the styles/yourstyle/theme/stylesheet.css file to add the link from your CSS file.

Code: Select all

@import url("yournewcssfile.css");

Links must be relative to forum root directory, not to templates directory.
