Is there any hope to see an extension with similar functions as "Postnotices to groups"?

It would greatly help me...

I really need that extension for my forum.

Is it possible to modifiy the phpBB code in an old fashion way to obtain the same result. I must say I'm NOT an expert in phpBB code, but I understand what I was doing while moding, ie not able to CREATE but fine to modify and adapt an existing code.

It is unlikely that anyone is going to create an extension in 10 days - you have asked, now you need to wait.

Possibly, but without looking at the code I cannot say. There are major changes in the core code between phpBB 3.0 and 3.1/3.2 which make using modded code impossible in some cases. Also if you do that then you will almost certainly run into problems whenever you update/upgrade

So, you want basically to have an extension that will send emails to users after any new topic created / post created ?
