No, but I think it's not the same as "User Blog Mod".
This mod will probably be simple with no new styles to a specific blog, and without the option of creating a blog for the user.
If there is an extension for the administrator or the specified user will be able to add new posts, but the blog will be the only one.
It will be nonsense, and not an alternative to the "User Blog Mod" ...
I do not know the extension description is short ...

As that Mod was for phpBB 3.0.7 it may not even work with phpBB 3.0.12 and unless it is installed on a 3.0.12 board which is then updated to 3.1 then there will be very little possibility of installing it on a 3.1 board without a lot of work.

This mod is compatible with phpbb 3.0.12 but phpbb 3.1.0 have a different structure of the code and of course you're right it will be a lot of work.
So that's why I write request

I'm pretty positive the user blog mod was done and buried on 3.0.7. I believe EXreaction spent more than a year developing it but it never really took off as MOD.

maybe because phpbb is a bulletin board and not a blog. I would think that if people want a blog and a bulletin board they will simply install a blog like wp and integrate it with phpbb. done

One viable option is to install a phpBB bridge on WordPress. That works very well, and then you get all the power of WP. :)

Bet more people would have used it if adding mods in the past was easier for newbs anyway. I tried adding mods in the past and the versions where not compatible or mods conflicted or they just wouldn't install i got so frustrated i just ran vanilla boards cause it was too hard and risky to install mods. And dont even get me started on Modx / Automod omg never got that installed once never worked and then it became the way to install stuff omg. loving it now thought so simple best way is how they have it aside from uploading mods in ACP kinda like how wordpress does with plugins when they do that it will be even better.

Things have changed alot now days bet if user blog mod was made for 3.1.x or maybe wait till 3.2.x is out it will be used alot more.

Sorry i got off topic really quick there i just want a blog mod so my blog looks like my forum not fussed if users get a blog or not though it would be nice.

Yes at it's core its a forum but it's also open to personal extension and then it steps into the relm of what ever the users wants the software to do and in that case it's quite reasonable to make it work as a blog and a forum and a what ever else someone wants. Not to be a pain but by your logic no mod is really an option beside forum based mods but what makes a forum based mod what makes a forum really it's a lot deeper than that mate.
