Trash Bin

Post by moviehive »

I love the soft delete method that is now default on 3.1

But I would love an extension which extends that feature and allows the use of a trash bin.So once you've deleted a topic/post it goes straight to the trash bin instead.

But still with possibility to recover the post/topic automatically to original topic/forum. Like trash bin in desktop operating systems.

+1 from me too. I've only just upgraded so I haven't tried out the new soft delete function yet, but I assumed it would work by moving deleted topics to a "trash can" forum. Guess not.

I haven't found a setting for it, and when I've deleted posts, they've just been deleted.

Well, I tried and I get the option to permanently delete the post. If I dont delete it permanently there still is a shadow with a restore-option.

This would be an EXT we would find very useful. Hopefully this sees the light of day. :)

ACP / Permissions tab / group forum permissions / choose global moderator in dropdown / choose the forum(s) you wish them to have that option / look at advanced permissions / under post tab near the bottom.

What would be the difference with the soft delete functionality?
