Excluding newly registered from member list

Post by Marcus Wendel » Sat Nov 15, 2014 10:41 am

How can I exclude members of the newly registered group from the members list? I don't want the spammers who have not (yet) posted but still listed some spam url in their profile to be shown there and I don't want to manually check the members list and deactivate those accounts.
Thanks.

/Marcus

Its not something that can be done on style level, you'll need ether extension or edit php code to do that.

I see that I posted this in the wrong section, sorry about that. Can you move it?

as far as I remember, newly registered users can not edit their profiles anyway. therefore, they can not enter a url etc. unless you have changed the permissions for the group to allow it.

You can see the same issue in this forum, see e.g. memberlist.php?start=449575

I stand corrected. I could have sworn that the NRU could not edit much of anything in the profile but being able to enter a url in the website is not even a permission setting at all.

sorry,

It is an all or nothing setting set by "Can change profile field information".

Thanks, that is a good step in preventing additional nonsense showing up there.
