Some of you have this RSS feed importer working in minutes, I have been struggling with it since yesterday and it's driving me nuts. Would somebody mind sharing the setup settings they used?

I got it to partially work, ie worked with some feeds but not others, plus there were user reported forum errors while the extension was enabled which cleared up as soon as it was disabled. I can't explain why but it's not worth the grief. I'm giving up on it.

Hi all, is this still available? (For phpbb 3.1) I'd love a PM with it. Been waiting for exactly this for a long while!

Please PM me if you would like to use it (and maybe contribute to the cost via paypal)! Would be highly appreciated!
I've seen a few post with the 20Euro - I will gladly contribute that.
Can someone send me a PM with paypal details and what not...

Yes this is my second post.

Anyone test this at 3.2.0, if it does not work, I'll wait till it does before upgrading from 3.1.10 board?
Side Note: Thanks for all the hard work releasing 3.2.0, users all hope the EXT catch up with the new board design, since I'm not that great a converting PHP code. But I certainly like using EXT, Thanks again to the EXT people too...
Cheers,
Ed

Willing to donate again to get this EXT upgraded to 3.2.0...

Am I right you can import RSS feeds from different sources to topics of your choice? If so than I'm also wondering if it's easy to install for someone not very good at coding, etc. Thanks :)

Yes, correct.

And it is rather easy to install. No coding needed.

I've been searching for something like this for a couple of weeks. I don't understand why it's so hard to come by for phpBB. Seems to be standard for other kinds of packages. I don't think I can PM yet, but I'd love a chance at this ext.

I upgraded to 3.2, the main screen of the extension worked ok but the feeds screen was blank. I found various other issues with 3.2 which were incompatible with what I needed so I reverted back to 3.1.10, one of the issues was the handling of html brought in on the feeds.

EDIT:I didn't try re-installing it under 3.2, it might fix the blank screen or might refuse to install.

Hello.
I have just update my local-test forum to 3.2.
This extension is still working. It posts news from feeds as before with only one "problem": It displays news as html, like this

Code: Select all

Στον «Ορφέα» και την «Αρμονία» ο όροφος του Σιδηροδρομικού Σταθμού Καλαμάτας.
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.tharrosnews.gr/sites/default ... k=YhS4i8HP" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://www.tharrosnews.gr/sites/default ... k=YhS4i8HP" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: large;">Από την Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση κρίθηκε....blah blah blah...., </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Πηγή:&nbsp;tharrosnews.gr</div></span></div>
Can this be solved? What do you think?

I'm very interested but wondering if there's an example or maybe some printscreens of input and output like the messages at the bulletin board. What's the price for the extension?

Hi guys,

I have also just registered and can't send PMs.
My site is using SmiX.MODs Feed News Center but it is running under 3.0. We need to upgrade the phpBB version as we have other Mods becoming deprecated i.e. Tapatalk.

Can I have test this RSS importer please?

Thanks!
