Hi, I am still missing this simple & very useful mod for v3.1

NoQuote in Last Pos

Disables the function of quoting the last post.
Hiding the quote button in the last post.

Nobody else is interested?

To explain you the main idea of this extension. It does not make sense to quote the last post, you have just to reply to it...not quote. This MOD was hiding quote button and displayed REPLY button instead - it was very useful...

what is wrong with quoting a post in a reply ( first, last, doesn't matter). it really helps readers to know exactly which post in a topic is being replied to.

I would disagree with that statement. I have seen instances (on far too many occasions) where a reply is made to a post and then the post has been edited to change the context and make the reply look out of place (in fact I have seen it done to make another member appear as if they are lying). By quoting the post this situation is avoided.

It also makes sense to quote the last post where you have several diverging conversations going on in one topic.

I think its mainly about the etique of current forum.

From what I've learned from our users:
- if I would like to answer the last post, I should use Reply button, not Quote button. All readers will know that I am replying to last post...
- if I would like to answer another post from the thread, I should quote it

Yes, sometimes it could be needed to quote the last post as well, but this could be managed through "quote" tag on posting page...

The original MOD had 2300 downloads, so, it was quite popular I think...

The number of downloads that a mod (or for that matter an extension) has is not necessarily a measure of its popularity - unfortunately there are no stats on how many boards that mod/extension is being used.

I, along with many others, have downloaded many mods/extensions for all sorts of reasons but have never installed them.

Yes version 1.0.1 work, but have a problem in ways responsive .
this new version 1.0.2 is pending validation and work fine. Please share and use this:

Not to mention that quoting the last post also generates a notification in 3.1.
