Topic password and restrictions

Post by kdn » Tue Dec 01, 2015 5:24 pm

There are extensions for phpbb 3.0 to make password protected topics (Topics password) and to restrict the topic view access in selected forums (ACP settings) - Topic restrictions (viewtopic.php?f=69&t=1690915&start=0). Is it possible to make next one for 3.1 version like extension?

I would also need something like this (password protection for threads).

If I cannot read a Topic, I can simply search it with the title, in the phpbb search system and I can read it or also I can change the post_id in url of quote and I can see it.
See this ext, that hides some topic: https://github.com/brunoais/phpbbextf_r ... stener.php

I was of the impression that the search results reflected a user's permissions in that if the user does not have the requisite permissions then that post will not show in the search results. If that is not the case then there may be a bug that needs reporting.

No.. It isn't a bug... The search system shows topics which are in forum that the user can read. But in this case, the user can read the forum... And so topics are showed... That extension only permit to block user when they go to viewtopic page, not when they use search.

Search has been fixed. Still don't know what you mean concerning quoting.

If I go here, I can see the post with id 14279966
posting.php?mode=quote&f=496&p=14279966

So if I can the title of topics, on right of vieforum there is the id of last post of this topic and so I can see a post_id and use it in quote.

There is also ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&action=quotepost&p=14279056
The same problem

In extension that I've linked you can find this events

Code: Select all

'core.ucp_pm_compose_compose_pm_basic_info_query_before'		=> 'phpbb_ucp_pm_compose_compose_pm_basic_info_query_before',
			'core.ucp_pm_compose_quotepost_query_after'						=> 'phpbb_ucp_pm_compose_quotepost_query_after',
			'core.modify_posting_auth'			=> 'phpbb_modify_posting_auth',
			'core.report_post_auth'				=> 'phpbb_report_post_auth',

Ah, yes I see now. Don't know if I am too concerned about reporting of posts or not.

Github updated.
