Notifications: custom default notification settings in admin

Post by Jobertim »

I would like an extension that allows me to change the default Notification settings new accounts get when they're created.

More specifically I would like new users to get notified by default when someone replies to one of their topics.

Thanks!

I have an extension in progress that will do this - but I am short on time at the moment.

Quick and simple way to enable email notifications for PMs, replies, moderation queue, and default topic reply notifications to "Yes".

No ACP options.

Thanks!! What versions of phpBB are compatible with that extension? I installed it as per the instructions but it does not show up... my guess is because I'm using an older version of phpBB.

"phpbb/phpbb": ">=3.1.4,<3.2.0@dev"

min. 3.1.4 and not 3.2.x

Is automatic, enable email notifications for PMs, replies, moderation queue, and default topic reply notifications.

Hopefully only on a testing board, not a live board.

To the best of my searching I don't think this has been discussed in

Thanks.

I'm running 3.1.9. I've added the folder as instructed in the /ext folder and the extension does not show up under "Customize" in my ACP.

I'm back trying to make this work gain... any idea why this is not showing up under "Customize" in my ACP?

This extension works on phpBB 3.2.x.

Usually, to install an extension downloaded from GitHub, you have to create the appropriates folders. For all extensions, to know the corrects folder names, you have to open the composer.json file a read the line n°2.

For this extension, the folders created on your FTP should be named like this: ./ext/davidiq/EnableRegEmailNotify.

Thanks Galixte de EzCom, there is a way to change them to all users and not just new members (using mysql query) ?
