Never seen it before and I cannot see the point of it - purging the cache is something that is, or at least should, only need doing infrequently on a production board - if you need to do it more often then you have a problem with your board.

I agree, not needed and I wouldn't leave it to normal users to do anyway as malicious users could continue to clear the cache for ever.

No idea - but looking at the video I cannot see the ACP link, so that raises a question.

It still does not alter fact that it is not needed to be there

Well, he's logged in as "martin" at "martins place", and when the confirmation screen pop ups, you can see the ACP link at the bottom.

However, I do agree with the fact that there is literally no need for it.

Ahhh yes i also use that ext for the navbar by dmzx it puts all links into a drop down so under staff tools i guess is mcp and acp so it must be founder also the name martin is red .

Maybe it's better if you explain why you need the cache clear option there in the first place. [I can't remember the last time I cleared my cache - 2 years ago maybe!]

I run a 18+ porn site (no nasty stuff) and we have a lot of links and images that get changed i have over 70000 posts so every now and then i like to clear the cache it also speeds the site up some how also it's not very often i need to go into the ACP so as i come across this video i thought it would just be perfect for me to hit the link once in a while.

All Admins can purge the cache - it is not, in a standard phpBB board, a Founder only permission and there is no option to set the colour for a Founder's username.

The whole point of the cache is to speed up the board - whenever you purge the cache it will have the effect of slowing your board down as the cache will have to be rebuilt.

+1

A very, very good idea :D

But (of course) for admins only. No need to click xx times.

One click on index, without any confirmation, done.... ;)

I have found this ext now its by dmzx and yes 1 click and its founder only also you need to be logged in to use it and it also makes a log in the acp if it is used it works very well too.

Oh it's a vip extension i forgot to say but all in all well worth the 200 bucks.

200? :o :o :o :o
I'd rather make an extra click once every 2 years.
