How to alert all members for any & all posts

Post by derekg1959 »

Hi all.

My question, and reason, is identical to this post from 9 years ago: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1647625

I saw some solutions there but because of the age, and the older phpbb version, I prefer to re-post the question here again.

My forum if for my employees only -- a place where we ask questions and invite answers from everyone. I don't want people to have to proactively watch the board all the time -- I want them to receive an email whenever a new question has been posted, by anyone.

All help much appreciated, thank you!

Would the digests extension be a possible answer?

Thanks for that David. But I know I have no idea! Can you elaborate? I'm not a coder, but I'm also not unfamiliar with how these things go.

I looked up that extension but it was above me. Still lost how to proceed.
