Image Resizer

Post by bitsss » Fri Mar 09, 2018 5:45 am

Hello,
some extensions display uploaded images smaller, but the image-file-size is the same as before.
I am looking for an extension [3.1] which also reduce the file size.
Does anybody know an extension?
Thanks

ReIMG Image Resizer resizes images client side.

I need your help.
How can i activate this builtin?
At the moment i get an error message if the image (for upload) is bigger than those set in acp for image-upload.

ReIMG Image Resizer resizes images client side.
the op asks for really resized image, not for js-downscaling (which is useless)....

It's a error about file size, I assume?
So, set dimension to eg. 1000px * 1000px (the maximum you want to display) and file-size to eg. 50MBit (a lot bigger than a 1000*100 px image be, but the by default active plupload routines will resize images and shrink them to a lot smaller file size)

If plupload is not active (because your user has javascript disabled or your boards style does not include plupload), the "old" upload routines will give the message that the image dimensions are too big.

What settings do you have for Maximum image width per post, Maximum image height per post, upload_max_filesize and post_max_size? You can try setting the first two to zero and see what happens and the last two you can check via ACP PHP information you would probably have to get your hosts to alter that unless you have access to php.ini. Note that whatever you have set for the first two the last two will override that.
