What do you mean by "clear all notifications"? You want to clear all unread notifications? When do you want this to happen?

You do realise that you can control the deletion of "read" notifications in the ACP (Read Notification Expiration)

Is that not defeating the purpose of notifications?

Using your logic users will be sent notifications but because it makes the notifications window untidy (how many actually go into that window anyway?) you want to delete them and the user will never see them.

I have absolutely no idea what that means.

I mean
I foresee that I want to be able to delete the notifications in this window for myself and other users can delete their own notifications (they receive) only for themselves and then be able to receive notifications

I think what he means is that he sort of wants it to be like a mail inbox so once the notification has been seen he can remove it from the list completely instead of letting them just drop off the bottom.

I agree that I'm not really sure what difference it makes.

Then set Read Notification Expiration to say one day and then after you have marked the notification as read (and the same for all other users) the notification will roll off.

you don't need an extension. just setup your notifications to be deleted after one day. then they will automatically be deleted after one day assuming you have read them and marked them as being read.
