Admin note in ACP general tab

Post by </Solidjeuh> »

I think there was a MOD that did almost the same thing in phpBB 3.0.x
And it would be very useful to me, and I hope for others to...
But I need something like you see on the image I made.
Admins can wright there if the made any changes to the forum, files etc...
It's good for when you have more admins who have FTP access to some files/folders.
So we always know what they did and when ... (If they fill in the note)

Hello </Solidjeuh>, I hope I understood you correctly?

Yes, this MOD was written as ADDON for phpBB-2.0 ca. 2003/2004 and has been offered as [ADDON] -ACP-Notepad as far as I know for phpBB-Olympus about 2006 or 2007 on https://startrekguide.com/forum/f30-acp/t989-addon-acp-notepad-2-0-.html. *)
The only now known (old) version, which also fixes the few mistakes known at the time, can be found on: written Dec. 2012(!)
phpbb3-Admin-Notepad ==> https://github.com/wilecoyote

I did not find another version of this old MOD. Maybe it will help with the development.

Regards

Edit: *) not exist (anymore(?) ...

Why not make a forum for admins only, invisible to other users?
That also allows the admins to discuss actions in private.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.
