The database section was not included, it was done manually....

My latest updates add the database automatically and should uninstall correctly too...
Not sure if I added them to git, assume I didn't unless I update the readme file...

Keep in mind this is for testing only... I don't currently have much time to work on it...

I can enable the extension but it breaks all the forum:

Code: Select all

Twig_Error_Loader: Unable to find template "blocks/block_menus_nav.html" (looked into: ./styles/prosilver/template). in [...]\phpBB\vendor\twig\twig\lib\Twig\Loader\Filesystem.php on line 202
It happens when you are catching the 'core.page_header' event. So i looked into the main_listener class and I saw that you are using a lot of global variables. I think that's currently in development but you shouldn't push it on github without disabling this event or we can't test :'(

Also, about the routing, you should use in the routing.yml file (for the controller's name) the same name as in the services.yml file.

Apart from these small problems, it's a nice extension.

P.S I used the last version available on github

It may be a lot to ask but having an editor integrated to create BBC and HTML pages would be a great addition!

You should have guessed that I was going to ask. ;)

@nicofuma ... My current local copy doesn't break anything... unfortunately I have been a little under the weather recently and can't work on any coding too often... I have however updated Git...

Many thanks for your kind comments...

@Skhilled44 ... there's a chance someone will add the functionality to phpBB3 with a bit of luck we could then add it to Kiss...

Portal page software

Post by Hawkmoth » Sat Nov 22, 2014 7:40 am

Sorry if this is a duplicate. You may delete or merge if necessary. We are getting out of Vbulletin and I think we wil go back with phpBB which we started with a very long time ago.

We have a website in multiple languages. I downloaded the 3,1 and several language packs. I also downloaded the Kiss portal software package.

The thing I wonder is, in the portal page, can we install the flags to be able to link to our other language forums?

(Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but I'm trying to learn new software very quickly as I need to make a move soon).

Any code that previously worked will work with the new version but that assumes the flags mod you used is also updated... If it was our flag mod we will update that at a later stage...

Sorry for the delay in responding, illness has curtailed my activities...

It's been several months since I worked on the code and I'm still some way from having it as good as the 3.0 version... I plan to start back coding in early January...

I'm in the process of re-evaluating blocks and code... For example, 3.1 now has page, so we drop our portal page code as their functionally identical, additionally, a couple of the portal blocks may be available as extensions soon enough, while others might be better suited to module development independent from the portal code... will examine...

I would recommend using the excellent Board3 extension if you don't require a fully integrated portal (I would if I didn't code Kiss)... For those who do want full integration please be patient, illness has delayed my efforts, but things are looking better for 2015...

Hi Mike

I made the decision not to update to 3.1 until my essentials list was completed. Kiss portal being at the top of that list!

Anyhow keep up the good work and I can't wait to see it.

Re: PhpBB 3.1 to convert to Kiss Portal page software?

Post by Omenicus1 » Tue Feb 24, 2015 5:37 pm

Question:

Were you able to convert to 3.1 phpbb and get the Kiss portal to work?
Searching for a way to get the Kiss Portal to work after conversion to phpbb 3.1
Thank you

Robyn
