I'm using this extension and add-on my "test-live-board" (replica of live board, in another directory) with 3.1.7 PL1 and I face no problem whatsoever. Appreciate all your hard work and time!

OTOH, can there be a possibility in the extension to call "Thanks" with some other name, say - "Like", "Love" or... .
Thanks,

My users got logged out all the time.
When disabeling the addon the issue is gone.

Any plans on updating it for phpBB 3.2?

rxu made his mod already phpBB 3.2 compatible. Maybe you can copy the changes?

https://github.com/rxu/thanks_for_posts ... f494fd7d6a
yes of course. I'll handle it. I think( not sure) this addon must be compatible with 3.2 without changes

What I'd like with this, is just a link that reads

Once a user says thanks, they don't need to say thanks again to see the link, and if they do if they cleared cookies, and cache, it won't count towards the user download list.

Click here to say thanks and view the download link

Users downloaded list (x amount of number users who said thanks, and it will spit out there users names)

User download list will be a hide/seek , click to see and click to hide the list.

Thanks,

when enabling it I get the following error:
Something went wrong during the request and an exception was thrown. The changes made before the error occurred were reversed to the best of our abilities, but you should check the board for errors.
The config setting "AddonForThanksForPosts_3_2" unexpectedly does not exist.
Return to the extension list
Edit: I fixed it by removing the _3_2 addition in the v_3_0_0.php migration file.

My test forum is in a subfolder called 'forum' and I'm using .htaccess to redirect any requests from the root to there. Everything works fine, apart from the ajax-ified thanks button. Is this something anyone else here sees as well?

The extension works fine from /forum/, and also works when you right-click the button and open in a new page. Just when clicking it, the little 'you have thanked' box doesn't come up and no thanks are given.

Thanks!

pitur, first of all see in your ACP->General->Server settings the option "Enable URL Rewriting". The value must be "yes"

Thanks Alg, URL rewriting is on, the issue lies elsewhere...
