Version 1.0.6 released.

What's new?
1. External Links are now supported with this mod along with internal site links.
2. Title error is patched.
3. CSS hovering issues are patched, and jquery from before replaced fully with css.
4. Option to inactivate a link (for parent links or otherwise) so that it will not link has been added.
5. One default link (display by standard installation is set to off) added to the migrations.

Problem with new version

I tried this two ways
First I deleted the old extension completely after de-activating it and deleting the data
then I installed the new one and when I enabled I got this error
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/db/migrator.php on line 442: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
I then deleted everything again and reinstalled my old version and the navbar worked perfectly
I then uploaded the new version over the old and received that error when enabling it.
I was able to get into the links config pages on both attempts.
The new config has a button active with a yes or no in the link. It will not stay on the yes no matter how many times I submit
when I go to the links on the index none of them work. (you cannot click on them.)

No matter which way I installed it, clean install or upgrade through Upload Extensions or manually
I get that error when enabling the extension

Fixing the bugs now. I don't know what is causing the foreach error though...that one might take a bit.

It should work with either. The upgrade for 1.0.6 from 1.0.5 only changes 2 database fields, one for the active link addition and one for the default link row. The migration system is built so that it should only install the new version with the new stuff rather than requiring a full reinstallation every time an extension is updated. That said, since its about a 1-click process either way...makes little to no difference.

I have updated the file. I double checked with an uninstallation and reinstallation that the extension was working properly for both of the errors noted.

I have just upgraded this on my wifes forum, and got this error

I tried on my test forum, with the same result.

I have reverted to the previous version, and all is good.

(I did deactivate, delete, upload and activate correctly both times)

The button active now works in this version however I still get this error when enabling it
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/db/migrator.php on line 442: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
Then if I disable the extension and delete the data I get this error
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/db/migrator.php on line 439: array_reverse() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/db/migrator.php on line 442: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 132: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3839)
The extension does work when installed and button active selected = yes
is that to disable just certain links? If so the link still shows but is non clickable
I guess we can always set it like the default one and not have it show the disabled link.

Active just determines whether or not a link should have an a href url (this was something people in this thread asked for, for the top tier links). I'll write up better descriptions for the ACP of each section for the next patch (which will also include hopefully a fix for the foreach error that I can't quite figure out).

Version 1.0.7

What's different?
Thanks to a very helpful post by VSE, the foreach error during installation is corrected. The version number is also correctly identified on the custom page. More text has been added for ACP descriptions of each setting on the link creation page, and the order of those options has been changed. The default link is now set to display by default when this extension is enabled.
Very sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who dealt with the issues of 1.0.6

Thanks for the new version.
I installed it on my testing localhost board and after enabling it (in extension settings) I get this message in ACP when I'm in Settings:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/vipaka/navbar/acp/main_module.php on line 30: Constant CONFIG_TEXT_TABLE already defined
This in ACP when I'm in Links:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/vipaka/navbar/acp/main_module.php on line 30: Constant CONFIG_TEXT_TABLE already defined
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/vipaka/navbar/acp/main_module.php on line 397: Undefined index: MENU_NAV
and this on board index:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/vipaka/navbar/event/main_listener.php on line 94: Undefined variable: phpbb_root_path

Reuploaded zip with files that should fix those errors, none of which should break functionality of the extension. :)
