I disabled/re-enabled caramel, still same results.... I didn't have any problems installing this extension, it installed first time around with no issues/errors and its only the settings in the ACP that don't display correctly, everything in the front end of the site is fine.

Should I try to uninstall/re-install caramel, think maybe it was just a freak thing?

I would backup your database if you did so.

OK, I backed up database, disabled extension, deleted extension data then deleted caramel from server. No problems what-so-ever uninstalling.

I re-downloaded caramel, uploaded to server and enabled extension. Still ended up with same results, permission settings do not display correctly in ACP but is fine everywhere else.

Wow, that is really weird. I'll try to look more into it and toggle around some settings. I did a vanilla install on phpBB 3.1.3 and didn't have any issues.

I'll do my best to figure this out for you. :)

I am using an American English language pack if that makes a difference. I did set the default language back to the British language pack, disabled/enabled the extension and purged the cache but, no luck...

Where in the header is it telling you how much cash you have?

I am using pb_WoW template.

Also question... where is %s and %d being stored?

I want to create a %m for message..

In /language/

'CRML_LOG_MESSAGE_DONATE' => 'A donation of %d cash was made.',

This should be dynamic and whatever the user puts in the message should be here.

Please help.

Unfortunately, that option is not available yet.

@Innavigable, I managed to get the settings for caramel to display correctly in the ACP.

I made a copy of the "en" directory that's in caramels language directory, renamed it to "en_us", re-uploaded it and then purged the cache. All settings in the ACP are now displaying fine.

I guess the issue was caused by me using the American English Language pack...

This is currently on the develop branch. If you have this installed, it should be showing up when you're logged in.

These placeholders are from PHP's printf() function. The placeholders are passed in variables when language values are rendered.

As an example, what you gave may appear as:

Code: Select all

$this->user->lang('CRML_LOG_MESSAGE_DONATE', $donationAmount);
I might add messages to the logs later.

I'm glad you figured it out. :)

Please add the messages added to log, as people can enter what they are paying for!

Once again, thank you so much.

I'll probably take some time to add the messages to the cash logs this week. :) Other than that, I'm pretty swamped with other stuff. Really most of all that is left is the Ultimate Points converter. Once that is all done and good, we'll do an RC. :D

And also, it works on my test forum.
