Another idea I'd like to add is using the "View unseen posts"/"View topics without answers" principle, to add a "View answered topics" in the quicklinks for example.

Small status update - I'm still working on this extension, albeit a bit more slowly. I have some nagging health problems that are taking priority right now. Once these health problems clear, development will ramp back up. :P

OK, I pushed the new beta to GitHub. This release adds the "answered" indicator to the last post column and search results! :P

There is some code optimization I want to do along with further testing. No time frame yet. ;)

Love the idea of this Kailey. Good work.

I'm currently running 3 :lol: of these 'Topic solved' type extensions to see which performs best and gives the best results. One thing I notice on my board is the styling of the buttons doesn't seem to fit too well. Thing is, I can't remember if I've modified the core style for those or not :oops:

Additionally you can see a 'Tick' being hovered over in the pic/red box, that's from the topic solved extension, I much prefer this stye but again I can't remember if I modified that :oops: :lol:

Just throwing it out there anyway, liking this very much so far.

EDIT: Ah, seems I only need to make a couple of tweaks and I can achieve the icon via FontAwesome 8-)
See pic showing 'Green' arrow for Mark as best, and Red arrow for 'Unmark as best'

Kailey, when I have this extension enabled, the SEO SiteMap Extension fails >> viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2269621&p=14101441#p14101441
When I view my sitemap I get an error saying:
"The forum_id, post_id, or topic_id are either missing or invalid. Please verify these variables are correct."

Is it a language issue? As soon as I disable your extension, the SEO Sitemap extension works fine.

The "mark answer" and "unmark answer" work fine with prosilver (i've also tested prosilver_se, se_squre, and se_square_left). Obviously for other styles, the buttons may need to be tweaked, and I can't possibly include styling for every single style made. If someone wishes to provide the correct styling for a specific style, then great! However extension validation only requires prosilver.

I don't use SEO sitemap, but the error message is from my extension. What is the URL when you get this error, and what were you trying to do when you get it?

Hi Kailey,

I simply visit mysite.com/sitemap.xml and I get the message. :) Hope it's fixable as both extensions are great.

PS: Have made a few tweaks and it works really well. I added an 'Expand answer' button in the best answer as sometimes the post can be large or the very next reply. You can see it in action at http://www.corradog60.com/viewtopic.php?t=626

Also added 'Best answer' into the post that has been marked as best answer, and used fontawesome. Still playing with the css etc yet...

:shock: Da f***?!

My extension should have no bearing on any other extension. Anyway, see if this fixes the error.

OPEN: ext/kinerity/bestanswer/controller/main_controller.php

FIND:

Code: Select all

$forum_id = $this->request->variable('f', 0);
BEFORE, ADD:

Code: Select all

        if (!sizeof($action))
        {
            return;
        }
