Great idea for a extension! Makes putting up a avatar quick and simple! I installed this on a test board and everything works great. Except for the part where your editing the image uploaded. For me the entire field is black. So you can not see any part of the image to edit. If I just pick a area and click select it works great!
Hope it can be worked out, as I would love to use this extension!

Hello, was just wondering if there has been a update or fix for this? It's a great piece of work!

i just purchased mobbern 3.1 as well and am in the process of customizing it, but i didn't even see the avatar upload extension from within mobbern after i installed it to ext/, how did you get as far as you did with the uploader, how did you launch it? also, i noticed you said your avatars were 150 x 150, mine are set at 90 x 90 by mobbern and are round, how did you get 150 x 150? were you able to change your avatars from round to square? thanks!

I believe this extension to be abandon :( and think this a GREAT idea ! I wish someone could pick this up and finish it as it's not very useful at it's current stage of development.

You should stay away from that piece of garbage anyway. The author was banned from the marketplace as well for many reasons. He scammed many people and fooled me as well. Took my money never finished the job and the theme ended up being using apparently copyrighted material from a very very good and famous developer which thanks God I came across after this terrible experience.

sorry to hear the author/seller is a bad apple, wasn't aware of that, what i have become aware of is that the author/seller doesn't support his theme at all, once you buy it you're on your own....

that said, last night i decided to play around with a different theme that i'm liking a lot, flatboots, the layout seems to be put together better than mobbern, it has some fun add-ons (some free, some premium), an author/seller who gets back to you, and at least some activity in their support forum.... i'm also finding it much easier and quicker to mod than mobbern, but that might be because i've learned a few css/html things since i first started playing around with and modding mobbern... anyway, imo these themes are so inexpensive that it's not a big deal if they end up not being what you want....

Use the PHP native chmod function instead to avoid issues with different OSs. That could happen.

Always prepend a zero, like 0644. Not 644. ( http://php.net/manual/en/function.chmod.php#54640 )

Wow, this is really fantastic!

I wish there were extensions settings that would allow a site administrator to show/hide the following:

Animate Selection
Change BGOpacity
Change BGColor
Enable fading
Use experimental shader

And then also the X1,X2,Y1,Y2,W,H display.

I completely understand the value in having those settings and options, but ideally I would like to be able to make it as simple and easy a process as possible. At least for the site I'd like to use this on, the users who would most likely benefit from having a built-in crop and resize tool are the ones to most likely be confused by all the additional buttons and options.

All that aside, thanks for your work on this - it's really promising!
