Actually, since Firefox 44 launched yesterday, it's supported in firefox : https://hacks.mozilla.org/2016/01/web-p ... irefox-44/

It looks like it uses the same protocol as Google does, so it might work in that case.

Sounds interesting. One question will we be able to set notification when topic is created in specified category?

Hi, with the new version a secure connection is always required?
I ask this because I have seen many forum IP.Board 4.x with chrome notifications and no https.
