This looks really worked out, great job. What are you planning to add or do, since this is 0.5?

I just expect a few/wee tiny bugs and since it's working with date and time I'd just like a good run on upcoming events and notifications being sent.

Hm ...

I use 3.2.1., installed your extension, but there is no Calendar Tab under Group permissions and also no Extensions Tab > Calendar.

Yes, but I've deactived this ext before I installed yours.

And when I try to "Arbeitsdaten löschen" (sorry, can't remember in english) I get

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'phpbb\module\exception\module_exception' with message 'CANNOT_REMOVE_MODULE'

It's using the same config variable for version checking as this extension does, you will need to delete data to test.

Thanks for working on this, Steve!

This was a very much requested extension and I think it looks really good seeing the screenshots. :)

Just as a side note:
Steve wrote: Fri Oct 06, 2017 5:46 pm It's using the same config variable for version checking as this extension does
Good practice to use a namespace for your extension: prefix (or attach) objects with a abbreviated vendor/extension (maybe st_ec for for steve/eventcalendar) combination when you are in the phpBB "common space" like entries for config table, additional fields in phpBB default tables, extensions own tables in the database, so other extensions can't influence yours.
So instead of just using calendar_version use eg. st_ec_calendar_version

I'm testing and translating this ext.
So far I noticed:
- undefined in language files names of months in calendar UI view - still displayed in english
- hard defined st, rd, th in english long date format (not used in other languages)
- hard defined (in cosnatnts.php) months/days names in several places - unfortunetly untranslatable.

Besides, it would be good to have possibility of adding more than 1 day lasting event.
