Yes, may be it is a problem with your server functiongs getimagesize or url_fopen (deactivated?)

Deactivate the size check/size restrictions for images in your ACP, that should help.

Can you share one here? Preferably one you tried on your board, failed, and then put into a ZIP and attach it here to your reply.

How did you make your rar file?

If it's that challenging to you then upload your picture to a picture hoster, i.e. imgbox or ImageBam and post back the resulting BBCodes here. Or, if you think one of your example pictures are too personal then in a PM to me.

Image
Let me know if you got it then i can remove it.
On advice of the host php version adapted to 5.4 and 5.5 but again this was not a success.

PHP module getimagesize: loaded

PHP module allow_url_fopen: loaded

0: 276
1: 110
2: 1
3: width="276" height="110"
bits: 8
channels: 3
mime: image/gif

My test board is version 3.2.0 and as an administrator I can upload your picture without problems. However, doing this as a regular member I get the error message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct.". The main problem with your picture is: it's missing the JFIF-APP0 segment, which is mandatory (I'm not surprised Adobe creates invalid files - at some version Photoshop stopped writing said segment). That, combining with the fact that phpBB expects this segment and is not prepared to inspect an EXIF segment, results in not being able to tell the picture dimensions.

PHP module getimagesize: loaded
Irrelevant - 3.2.0 has its own code to inspect files. Which is the bad news, because PHP's getimagesize() would still report the correct dimensions with your file.

PHP module allow_url_fopen: loaded
Irrelevant, as you're uploading the file to your own board instead of linking it from elsewhere.

I have no clue which picture you tested here - look at the dimensions and the type - it has nothing to do with your picture.

Conclusion: it's a bug. Either because of Adobe Photoshop not complying the JFIF standard, or because of phpBB not being intelligent enough.

Based on your picture's content I doubt it complies with forum rules 1.e.
