Here are the steps I followed. What did I do?
Take this code and paste it into header.php in Wordpress:
Code: Select all
define('IN_PHPBB', true); $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : 'My-forum-path-here'; $phpEx = substr(strrchr(__FILE__, '.'), 1); include($phpbb_root_path . 'common.' . $phpEx); // Start session management $user->session_begin(); $auth->acl($user->data); $user->setup();
I got an error where the make_clickable() function was already defined on the WP site. The forum keeps working!
PHPBB and WP must both have this function.
My solution? Just comment out the make_clickable() function in wp-includes/formatting.php. Whatever, I wrap my links anyway in WP.
Get this error when visiting main WP site, forum continues working:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getParameter() on null in /path/to/forum/----/phpbb/cache/driver/file.php on line 37
Is it the make_clickable function causing this ordeal, or did I solve that issue commenting things out and the step 3 is a new issue?
Edit: Step 2 probably isn't it since I commented both of them out and still got that error.
I have no idea what to do, or what other code you may need.
Website and forum worked fine before this,
the forum works fine all through this.
That error is from my WP site as stated - both on the same server.
The WP site still works if I remove the code above.
