Multiple Ranks

Post by starbuck88 »

Is there such a way to have a user in multiple ranks, so they can have multiple rank badges?

There's this - viewtopic.php?f=536&t=2395371&p=1457051 ... #p14570516 - It's for 3.1 but may work with 3.2.

How do you assign more than one rank to a single user?

install the extension and then you can do it.

by default you can't give more than one rank to a user.

I did install the extension. But I can't find any controls for it under the extensions tab.

Hi Bruce, there are no settings in the extensions tab. If the member qualifies for a normal rank and also has a special rank they'll both show.

never used it but I would assume that it would be under the ranks section where you setup ranks etc.

I can only give myself one rank there. I can't figure out how to give myself two.

The extension allows a member to have a special rank and a normal rank. It does not allow them to have more than one of the same type of rank as you've asked here: (https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... pic/175491)

Ah, OK. I didn't realise the two ranks I wanted were of the same type. Thanks.

AFAIK there is no extension that allows you to set more than one special rank, or have more than one normal rank (each with different criteria).

a normal rank is based on post count. therefore, you can't have two different post counts so you can't have two different normal ranks.
