So NameCheap claims it is a problem with add-on domains in cpanel so I bought yet another hosting account (different server) with my forum being the parent domain and the issue still happens.

I think I'm gonna have to go back to my old reseller server and just keep paying for that. Anybody need some hosting?

I'm not stumping for them, and certainly don't get paid, but 1&1 web hosting has been solid for me since 2005. Pretty cheap too.

Thanks for the information & I may look into 1&1 but for now I moved the site back to my old reseller server and it works fine.

Lesson learned. Do not use NameCheap hosting for phpbb3 forums.

Is the reseller server you're using also using cpanel for administration?

Yes. My reseller server has both WHM and cpanel
