Disappearing topic posts

Post by jbandsma » Sat Jun 17, 2017 3:51 pm

Every so often (about once every 20-25 posts) I get a query about posts that have disappeared and asking if I have deleted them. I have had posts of my own disappear in the same manner.

All logs, including domain, have been checked for outside interference with nothing showing up. Does anyone else have this problem and, if you do, what have you done to fix it?

Am running v. 3.2.0 with 5.4 php on a *nix server. Do you need any more info?

Have you checked the moderator logs?

Filling out the Support Request Template and posting it back here may help.

Support Template:

Support Request Template
What version of phpBB are you using? phpBB 3.2.0
What is your board's URL? http://uniformunicorn.com/panic-room
Who do you host your board with? Interxstream
How did you install your board? I used the download package from phpBB.com
What is the most recent action performed on your board? Fresh Install
Is registration required to reproduce this issue? Yes
Do you have any MODs installed? No
Do you have any extensions installed? No
What styles do you currently have installed? Milk_v2
What language(s) is your board currently using? English
Which database type/version are you using? MySQL 5
What is your level of experience? New to PHP but not phpBB
What username can be used to view this issue? No answer given
What password can be used to view this issue? No answer given
What actions did you take (updating your board; installing a MOD, style or extension; etc.) prior to this problem becoming noticeable? None
Please describe your problem. Posts made in a private, password protected, staff only area (about the only area currently being used at all) tend to go missing. Once every 20 to 25 posts just disappear. No particular subjects seem to cause it, no 'words' trigger it. Posts seem to be innocuous but something has to be happening. It has even happened to me, the administrator. Logs show no suspicious activity. (including domain raw logs)

Did you try syncronizing forums via ACP/Forums tab?
