Coming from 3.0 you have to go to 3.0.14 first

So install your full backup first to go back to 3.0.B1

Till yesterday the forum and database was on 3.2.0. Last time we performed an update was during Feb 2017 and it was 3.2 Rhea. No other was performed till yesterday and the forum too didn't prompt for an update.

Saw board telling just to upload vendors and install folders.
That's where you've gone wrong.
That method is only for use with the auto update. You haven't done that so you have a mixture of a 3.2.1 vendor folder and 3.2.0 for everything else.

Do this
Knowledge Base - Updating 3.2.x

Thanks for your reply. Is this issue resolvable and can the site be returned to its original stage? I can manage with one day data loss.

I have the 3.2.0 vendor folder too as a backup.

Also all the files on the primary folder (except modisson_rest, mchat, config files) and few folders (store, cache, files, install, docs show newer date, everything else has old date) shows updated date.

Thanks.

Just follow what I linked to and upload all new files except the ones it says. Run the db update and you're done.

Thanks Will do.

One more info, I have the 3.2.0 vendor folder too as a backup.

Also all the files on the primary folder (except modisson_rest, mchat, config files) and few folders (store (probably has new database backup so new date), cache, files, install, docs show newer date, everything else has old date) shows updated date.

Thanks.

Just upload what it says.

You can recover an entire board with no original files at all so the existing versions don't matter that much.

Thanks so much. Do you mean there wouldn't be any data loss? It would be awesome if that happens. Will perform as suggested and shall update you. Thanks.

All of your users and posts are in the database, not in the files. If the files are correct and the config.php file is looking at the right database, the site will show up again.
