This was supposed to be fixed in 3.2.2.

Got the same problem, don't really want to edit all the code. This should be fixed by now.

Well, maybe all of you are mixing up different issues: Problem with uploading large jpg files after update 3.2.2 and Error with Picture resulotion on Upload.

I verified with fast-image-size delivered with 3.2.2 the EXIF problem is fixed.
