Using cookies

Post by ajtruckle »

Hi

It was brought to my attention that my website has no warnings about cookies.

How is cookies used by having a support forum on my website?

Thanks.

An unmodified phpBB board does not have any cookies that fall within the EU regulations. However there are extensions that may add cookies which do fall within the regulations.

If you are concerned then there is this extension - viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2400201

Great I added that.

As a side note I went to upgrade from 3.2.0 to 3.2.1 but you have no update packages like usual. Will they follow?

You don't need any update packages for extensions.

No no. My main forum says it is not up to date. It is 3.2.0. When I normally update my forum I can use a patch download from 3.2.0 to 3.2.1. But none are available (this is not related to the extension).

See this post and the post following it. That should sort of answer your question.
