full-page maintenance mode/disabling board

Post by miroslavglavic » Sun Sep 03, 2017 11:54 pm

So,

Is there a way to disable the board but instead of just a simple line...that a full page with a content I put in that page?

I just installed PHPBB, so 3.2.1 and no extensions.

I just want to embed a video from Youtube, for all my other sites that have WordPress and other things..they have a maintenance mode, which I could just show a white screen with an embeded Youtube video, which explains the site being on maintenance mode. No sidebars, headers, footers, content is shown. When the maintenance is over, I turn off the maitenance plugin.

So how can I do that on phpbb?

Maybe you can move all phpbb files on a directory /maintenance and then the index wanted on the root? :D

Change index.php to index.php.xxx and make a file named index.html that displays your video.
