We are running phpBB Board software V3.2.1 in conjunction with PHP V7.O now without any hiccups.
However, we have noticed that we have some older member records that contain commercial website address links, io the field entitled 'website'. We wish to remove these as we are a strictly self funding non-commercial knowledge, learning and philosophy site. I have tried to find a way to do this on the Admin board. I click on 'User Management' select a named member, but the only delete options available appear to be 'Signature line', 'Avatar' and 'Attachments'. Obviously siganture is useful when a member inserts the commercial website in the signature block and we don't appear to have attracted any Avatars. I am however unsure as to whether 'website' would fall under Attachments and as it appears to only take 2 clicks and whatever is in the field is deleted, without an 'ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DELETE THIS Y/N prompt, then I am nervous about deleting any valid data in 'Attachments'! Where and how is 'Website' held on the member record and what and where is the function to delete it please.
Dear RMGirr83, stevemaury and david63, thank you all very much for your help. All understood in terms of modus operandi re dodgy commercial member website deletions, a colossal task ongoing but now nearing the end in terms of backlog, prior to future prevention.
