@stevemaury. I tried sending you a PM and it's still sitting in my outbox unsent... I am have no luck today. What the hell am I doing wrong now?
PM's stay on the outbox until it is read, and only then does it go into sent items
Also no one can see what is in your cPanel without your log on details, and you should only give those to someone you totally trust.
Agreed, I assumed since steve is a member of the support team, and this is a brand-new account with nothing really to lose, I could trust him to have a look. I need to know if this mess is even worth trying to fix, or if I should get Bluehost to delete everything and start fresh with a new phpbb download.

I tried making backup copies to my pc from myphpadmin (sql server). It did not seem to be working, what I was actually doing was copying file to my file manager!
First, to backup your files use a FTP program. Do not use the File Manager in your cPanel.
Read the requirements of the following article and then read the Backup section. Knowledge Base - Transferring Your Board to a New Host or Domain
It will explain how to backup the files and the database.

Where in your directory is your forum installed?
Seems you installed it in your root which makes it even harder to clean those files.

Seeing you have 14 posts, i suggest you to delete everything and start over.

I posted in the 3.2 support forum because I had a question about what to do about my phpbb problem. I thought it was the appropriate place, as it was a general question and I was being careful to put it in the right place. I'm new here, and new to phpbb, and lost. Elias gave me a helpful response, and I thank him for that. I apologize for anything I've done wrong, but honestly, both times I've posted a question, they were not in the correct place, and I'm honestly confused as to where to post my questions. I described my problem in detail, and it seemed like a phpbb support question to me. If you would direct me to where a new user could post a question safely, I would be glad to go and post there. Some experienced users did attempt to help me, and I appreciate that... But as a new user, I need guidance, apparently. I read the "read me" section carefully before I posted, and saw no indication that I was posting in the wrong place. I apologize.
@Jason Fowler: If you see my reply it wasn’t to you, you’re fine where you are. But, as has been said, we cannot help you find a host that’s why we recommend you visit WebHostingTalk.
