Resurrecting a 3.0 Forum

Post by the.ronin »

Hi all. Been many years since I used phpBB. After migrating from phpBB to various social network frameworks from Drupal to Joomla to Wordpress, I am deciding once and for all that I should have just stuck to the basics because that is what my audience had always wanted all along.

The old phpBB build was highly custom modified by me (complete hack job as I am not a programmer just a hobbyist) with custom image galleries, etc. I just want the core phpBB forum (users, profiles, posts, responses, and attachments) transferred to the latest version of phpBB.

I've taken a brief look around and I am seeing stand-alone converters now which we didn't have when I was into phpBB. Is this something that has been very streamlined? Even for very old versions of phpBB? <REMOVED SOLICITATION>
