not sure why you want to hide it just because a few people do not know how to use it.
what about the majority of people that do know how or can easily figure it out?

anyway,. turn it off in the admin panel under board features.

I think he's trying to hide the BBcode buttons, but still allow users to use BBcodes by typing the correct code.
Perhaps removing the buttons from the template? Although I would prefer a conditional hide (depending on usergroup)

you can't use html in a post. it is a security risk and the software does not allow it.
maybe is you explained exactly what you are trying to and not how you think it should be done, we could help you do it.,

He probably don't want BBCodes to appear in the editor text, but instead a WYSIWYG/richtext editor.

you can't. there is not really a good wysiwyg editor that works well in phpbb, there never has been. people are constantly working on one but so far there is not one that officially works corectly.

once again, in you will explain exactlyl what you are trying to do, we can probably help you get it done.
