Why admin edits member's post must wait for admin's approve?

Post by nguyenthanhkinh » Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:46 am

Hi friends!
I don't know why i use admin's account to edit members' post. Then i have to wait for admin's approve (myself). That wastes lot of time... is not essential.
So how to disable this?
Thank's

Editing a post should not (does not) put it back in to the moderation queue.

What extensions have you got installed?

Might it not if the moderators group is on the moderation queue?

I didn't think it put things back in to the queue though once you've passed the threshold. The mod group being on the queue is something that I've seen before in 1-click host installations though. Is that the case OP?

I am pretty sure it does. We are used to the threshold only being "1", so we do not see it here.

You're the king of permissions so I'll bow to your superior knowledge on that one :)

I also point out that editing others' posts is not an Admin permission, but a Moderator one. Same with approving posts.

you have the admin user in a group that requires approval for posts. the admin should be in the admin group, the global moderators group and the registered user group.

check each of those groups to see if you have them set to need approval.
and make sure the admin is not in the newly registered user group at all.

the admin should be in ... the global moderators group
However, administrators usually should have duties that won't touch any moderation, hence it can make sense that an administrator is not automatically a moderator as well.

The Admin is in the admin group, sure!!
And in a other group, one where there is a approval rule.
Look which group that is and remove the admin from that group.
Sorry! My English is bat ;) !!!

admin panel
permissions
at the bottom of the menu are the mask options.
If you choose forum based permissions and then on the next screen select a forum that you need approval in and then enter the username in the bottom left box on the next screen you'll get your permissions for that forum.

On the left of the line for 'can post without approval' (which probably has a red box on it) you can click the O-> icon and it will show you the groups they're in and where the block permission is coming from.
