removing "Subject" in replies

Post by TheButcher2 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:40 pm

Hi guys

Is there a way to disable or edit a template so every reply members make does not automatically fill in the "subject"

I have threads with dozens of pages and every reply has the original topic title in it, it is starting to look a little silly.

Thanks

I will suggest one caveat to using that (no disrespect to the author intended).

It runs on a board I read a lot and if you visit and look at the new posts, then open tabs for every topic you want to read, without the RE: bit you just see a disjointed reply without knowing which of the topics it's referring to.

e.g. you have 2 topics on 2 different products and you go to one tab and read a reply saying 'yeah I bought one of those, it's terrible, broke straight away'. You then have to scroll all the way to the top to find out which of the topics you were looking at instead of having it right there in the RE: field.

Annoys the hell out of me :) The RE: field does have its uses.
