Post by tojag » Mon Mar 12, 2018 10:23 pm

Why does it happen that duplicate topics or posts sometimes appear?

I believe that the settings of this forum are correct. Both have the same time. I have the same problem on my forum. I do not know the reasons or how to remedy this.

Regards

Do you think the author intentionally sent two of the same?
I asked the authors of duplicate posts on my own forum and they always said that they were sending once and there were two posts or they were sending once and the post did not appear so they repeated posting again.
Sorry my english. I hope You understand what I mean.

Ive seen what you are talking about, its usually on the users end with a browser problem. Sometimes the browser freezes and ends up sending two posts, or the user gets a failed message and submits it again not knowing the first post transmitted fine. Its also happened to me over the years, weird stuff just happens on the internet sometime.

... and sometimes a user presses the Back button on their browser which displays the posting page and then hits submit again.

Ok guys. Somehow I explained this to myself and the users of my forum. However, it is good to ask to make sure that it is not the fault of a wrong configuration or some error.
Thanks.
