Remember Password issues

Hi I'm running phpbb 3.2.2 and having issues with users not being able to save there password using the remember password checkbox? The feature is enabled within ACP. How should I go about troubleshooting this?

Mostly a cookie issue,

Are there any obvious things I need to check in order to troubleshoot? Maybe top 5 things to check either in the ACP or my host?

The "Remember Me" is not "remember password".
It logs you in using a cookie, rather than using your username and password.

I just don't really want my site url getting indexed in google with all the issues I'm having at the moment

does that make since? Cause I feel like it could considering this is a public support forum. I have no problem with PM'ing thousands if needed to get this fixed.
